Ruben L.F. Habito is Professor of Religions and Spirituality at Perkins School of Theology, Southern Methodist University, and serves as Guiding Teacher at Maria Kannon Zen Center in Dallas, Texas. His publications include Living Zen, Loving God, 2004, Healing Breath: Zen for Christians and Buddhists in a Wounded World, 2006, Zen and the Spiritual Exercises: Paths of Wisdom and Transformation, and many other volumes in English and Japanese. Married to Maria Reis Habito, they are the parents of two adult sons, Florian and Benjamin.
