Why join the Society for Buddhist-Christian Studies?
Your membership dues include a subscription to the Journal of Buddhist-Christian Studies, the leading scholarly journal in the field and an essential tool for keeping up on the latest conversations and literature. Note as of 2022: We have sometimes been able to offer direct access to the online journal for members via Project Muse, but a recent software update by the publisher has halted access. We apologize for this inconvenience. However, members still receive their annual printed edition.
Twice yearly, you receive an e-edition of our newsletter, which helps keep you current on the doings of the Society and notices and reports concerning important conferences and events related to the field of Buddhist-Christian Studies
Members may attend annual meetings of the Society (held in conjunction with the AAR/SBL annual meeting), get to know other scholars in this field, and have input on planning for conference panels and other events.
Most importantly, your membership supports the global mission of the Society to promote many kinds of Buddhist-Christian scholarship and interreligious dialogue.
