Carolyn Jones Medine
Carolyn M. Jones Medine is a Professor in the Religion Department and Director for the Institute for African American Studies at The University of Georgia. She is the co-author, with John Randolph LeBlanc, of "Ancient and Modern Religion and Politics: Negotiating Transitive Spaces and Hybrid Identities (Palgrave, 2012). She has written on African American women's spirituality, including that of Alice Walker. Dr. Medine is the 2013 AAR Teacher of the Year.
